Red fox (vulpes fulva) are found in most states of the United States, except for along the Rocky Mountains. They like a habitat of open country, forest. This one was spotted on a golf course in Pennsylvania to my delight. He was playing, snooping along the forest margin and batting at things he found. My first ever sighting of a red fox was also on a golf course--West Seattle Golf Course in Seattle (the view there is terrific).
