Interesting article about a new observatory in the Chilean Andes. The LABOCA bolometer camera, a type of telescope, takes pictures of star regions, places where gases have very low temperatures, near -250 C, with a field of view of 11.5 arc minutes. Perhaps a reason to visit Chili?
I'm learning about astronomy and related subjects rather haphazardly, collecting data and hoping to sort it using a process model to aid my understanding. Subject matter--the big bang, relativistic viewing, physics, geology, minerals, mining, survival, travel, stars, planets etc. It implies more than one model.
